A fiber optic patch cable, also known as a fiber optic jumper or patch cord, is a widely used component in fiber optic networks. It is primarily categorized into two types: single mode and multimode fiber patch cables. Typically, single mode fiber patch cables feature 9/125 fiberglass and come in a yellow jacket, whereas multimode cables are available in 50/125 and 62.5/125 or 50/125 10Gig fiberglass, with orange or aqua jackets, respectively.

Fiber optic patch cables come with different types of fiber optic connectors and are utilized to connect equipment and components within a fiber network. FiberMania produces a wide variety of fiber patch cables that feature PC, UPC, and APC polishing types. Each connector undergoes a visual inspection using a 400x microscope and is tested for insertion loss and reflection. If needed, we also perform geometric inspections of the cables using a DORC interferometer to guarantee optimal performance. Each patch cable is serialized for easy identification and is packaged in individual zip bags. Test results are documented and included with every order.
