The multimode OM1 fiber jumper is a short-distance connectivity component compliant with TIA/EIA-568-C.3 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards. It uses silica fiber with a 62.5/125μm core diameter and features a PVC or LSZH outer jacket, suitable for Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and other scenarios. Operating at wavelengths of 850nm and 1300nm, it offers corresponding bandwidths of 200MHz·km and 500MHz·km, supporting 275-meter transmission in Gigabit Ethernet and 33 meters in 10G Ethernet, meeting the needs of short-distance links in enterprise LANs, campus networks, etc. Though its performance lags behind newer fibers like OM2/OM3, its cost-effectiveness and compatibility keep it widely used in legacy system upgrades or budget-constrained projects.
